Ages 5 to 12 · Denver · Broomfield · Lakewood · Littleton · Fort Collins · Instructors Certified under Colorado's POST self-defense subject matter expert · 500+ five-star reviews
Takes 30 seconds. Pick your location and your kid's first class. We'll have their uniform waiting with their name on the sign-in sheet.
Class sizes are small and instructors are on the mat with them, not standing at the front counting. If your kid is having an off day, somebody notices.
Who is actually teaching your kid.
Colorado Krav Maga is owned by James and Shannon Hiromasa. James has been licensed to teach Krav Maga since 1997, among the very first instructors in the United States, and holds a Senior Instructor designation from the Wingate Institute in Israel, the Israeli government's official certification college.
He serves as a subject matter expert on Colorado POST's Defensive Tactics Committee, the state body that sets defensive tactics training standards for Colorado law enforcement. He is contracted by Denver Health to train paramedics and emergency room staff. He has written for Black Belt Magazine, authored a section of the Practical Aviation Security textbook, and wrote the bestseller How to Be a Superhero.
Plainly: James helps set the standards Colorado's first responders are trained to. He helped Shannon build your kid's curriculum. Every instructor on our mats is certified under that standard.
And what we are not:
We are not a belt factory. Nobody buys a rank here. Kids test when they are ready and not a day earlier, and yes, that occasionally means a kid tests later than their friend. We think that lesson is worth more than the belt.
What you get
Here's exactly what $29 gets you.
- Two full weeks of kids classes. Not one trial class. Two weeks, so your kid gets past the nervous part and into the fun part.
- Their own Krav Maga uniform. Free. Theirs to keep, even if you never come back.
- A one-on-one start with an instructor before their first class, so they walk onto the mat already knowing one adult's name.
- No contract. No auto-renew. No sales pitch at the door.
The uniform by itself is $49 retail. Two weeks of classes is normally $79-$99. Back to school, both are $29.
