Well, it sure FEELS like summer is over!  You gotta love Colorado with its 40-degree temperature swings.

One thing you can be sure of when the seasons change is that colds and allergies flare up.  And you can add the Flu to that for the Fall season.

At Colorado Krav Maga, we are all about Self-Defense and Fitness.  And staying healthy is a big part of both.  One way food comato fight the colds, allergies, and flus before they pop up is to keep your immune system boosted.  A great way to do that is through your diet.

“You can’t underestimate the importance of good nutrition when it comes to…your immune system,” says Karen Ansel, RD, a spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. “Vitamins, minerals, antioxidants—these are what keeps your body strong, and without them you’re not giving your body the edge it needs to ward off infection.”*

You should also plan your Fall activities to make sure you’re staying active and in the workout habit as it gets colder.  We got you covered on that!  Be sure to check out our online calendar for events, seminars, belt tests, and the likes.  And be sure to Fan and Follow our Facebook Page, Colorado Krav Maga (https://www.facebook.com/ColoradoKravMaga) to get the latest updates as they happen, as well as self-defense news and other helpful tips.

A few special things to note are the PMA Graduation Test and the Krav Maga Level 1 test on the 27th of September, the CQ3 Handgun course (Practical Handgun 1) on October 11th and 12th, and the high level belt test workshop for adult Krav Maga Green, Blue, and Brown belt candidates on October 18th.  You can register for all of these and get more information on the website.

Stay warm, and train hard! Hope to see you in a class soon.
