Al Sullivan
 |
Al Sullivan didn't start
training seriously in the martial arts until he was 35 years
old. He began his training in the traditional Japanese art of
Aikido, eventually achieving the rank of Shodan (black belt).
He became frustrated with the limitations of that art, and began
to search for another more complete system of self defense. 4
years ago, he found Krav Maga. It only took one class for him
to realize this was the system he had been looking for.
"I learned more practical self defense in the first 3 months
I was a student, than in the entire 8 years that I studied Aikido.
In traditional arts, you are always training under the perfect
conditions. In Krav Maga we always train from a position of disadvantage
so that we know our system will work when the s**t hits the fans.
I love the fact that the way the system is taught helps the beginner
learn practical skills that can save their life from the very
first class". |

Abby Rupsa

Abby has a dance background,
became a fitness instructor after attending two years of both
the Fitness/Conditioning and Krav classes. My young son
was enrolled in the PMA portion and I would watch the adult classes
thinking that was the fastest, most thorough way to get in shape
and learn the fundamentals of self-defense in a fun environment.
I was used to weight training in the gym, which can be so isolating.
As a woman, it feels very comforting to know that I can use my
training skills to protect both myself and my kids. |
